Leslie Coxon
Certified Massage Therapist
Leslie has always had a fascination with how the human body moves. She started training in dance at a young age and continued throughout her formative years. She still integrates some form of movement in her daily life (yoga, stretching, walking/ hiking, sneaking in a dance class). She holds a bachelor’s degree in movement education and completed graduate coursework in exercise physiology, both of which have given her a strong foundation for her massage therapy practice.
She views herself as a facilitator— educating clients about their own bodies and give them tools to incorporate body awareness into their activities of daily living.
Human bodies and routines are all unique, which allows her to tailor her sessions to each client’s individual needs with intuitiveness, compassion and empathy to facilitate relaxation, rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Leslie’s integrative massage style is rooted in deep tissue techniques that include modalities of neuromuscular, myofascial and trigger point therapies. As a board certified massage therapist and body worker, she continually seeks out new modalities and techniques based on research that compliments her style and further helps her clients.
Her other passions include being with her family, cooking, baking, dancing and the outdoors. Her self-reminders include, “breathe, keep it simple, be kind to yourself and laugh”.
We are so fortunate at Lee Chiropractic to have her be part of our team and to be able to call her family.
